The Book of Mormon in audiobook format!
I have really wanted to release the audiobook format of The Book of Mormon for some time, and to start the New Year off right here is your chance to get the entire Book of Mormon in one single audiobook. The best part of having this in audiobook format is that you can pause it, go listen to something else, and then come back later and start right back up where you left off.
Here is my one request, go over to iTunes and write a review on this podcast so we can get some ranking there, and spread the Gospel message even better online. (viewPodcast) This is a VERY LARGE FILE so it will take time to download for sure, which also means the hosting of this file and the transfer bandwidth will be extreme, so if you want to support the podcast you can make a donation…
To download the audiobook version of the The Book of Mormon right click on the following link and select “Save As” or “Download Linked File”, after downloading drag and drop that file on your iPod in iTunes.

REALLY REALLY wish that someone would do audio LDS books such as novels and other works by Gen authorities. I would be willing to pay for downloading-like I now pay audible for books. Just wish we had access to LDS material. However, I do want you to know I am so grateful for the scriptures and magazines and conference being podcasted!

i put the book of mormon on my i pod, but it is one large file. no chapters. if i push next to go to the next chapter it skips to the end. but it does show the chapters. they just dont do any thing. the first track is the only one that works. any ideas on whar to do? andhow to fix it.

What kind of iPod are you using? I have it on an iPod classic and it works fine, but you can’t just push next and get the next chapter you have to manually go through the time and move it forward. Total bummer in that it is over 26 hours long! If you use an iPod Touch or an iPhone you are in like slim! It has a chapter browser and you can go right the chapter you are looking for with ease. I guess that is the bonus you get with spending more cash with Apple. I use it on my iPhone every morning in double speed and read the scriptures along with it on my iPad with the ReadScriptures.com app LDSscriptures. LOVE IT! (And I did skip a new chapter this morning so I am certain of the functionality…) Hope that helps! Maybe an iPod Touch will be the wish list for Father’s Day if you don’t have one!!!

so i love this now, i redownloaded it and it works Great!
everything works just like and audio book, chapter, playback position, ect.. not sure what i did, i just down loaded it agine to itunes and it worked perfect. so thanks and when will you all have the Bible and D&C and pearl, all done?

It is still there, it may not be showing because of the number of episodes since then. I will check the settings and boost it up as far as possible. You can always go back to the episode and download manually, but I get it, not as easy…

Thank you for putting your time and effort into doing this. It’s a great feature for our whole family. My daughter is reading the Book of Mormon for her Virtue value and having it on the itouch gives her lots of opportunities to progress along when she doesn’t have her scriptures. It’s great for me in the car so I can be listening for promptings from the spirit instead of always thinking about the things I need to get done.
I will be downloading the Doctrine and Covenants also.
